A Nightmare for Cdma Rf Receiver: the Cross Modulation

چکیده
This paper presents an quantitative analysis on the cross modulation between transmitter CDMA leakage signal and single tone jammer signal, and some design guide lines for overcoming it in receiver design. The analysis shows that duplexer isolation and LNA IIP3 are responsible for the cross modulation. It also shows that LNA IIP3 required for meeting J-STD-018 PCS specification is about 45dBm with duplexer isolation of 50dB.

Nonlinear Multiuser Receiver for Optimized Chaos-Based DS-CDMA Systems
Chaos based communications have drawn increasing attention over the past years. Chaotic signals are derived from non-linear dynamic systems. They are aperiodic, broadband and deterministic signals that appear random in the time domain. Because of these properties, chaotic signals have been proposed to generate spreading sequences for wide-band secure communication recently. Like conventional DS...
متن کاملAn Overview of Delay-Hopped, Transmitted- Reference RF Communications
Recently, patent applications [1,2] were filed that described a radio communication method making use of RF correlated noise or RF pulse transmissions and a novel code-division multiple access (CDMA) scheme called delay hopping (DH). The method is known as delay-hopped, transmitted-reference (DHTR) RF communications [1]. The present report gives an overview of this technique. The behavior of th...

In this paper, we propose smart step closed-loop power control (SSPC) algorithm and base station assignment based on minimizing the transmitter power (BSAMTP) technique in a direct sequence-code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) receiver in the presence of frequency-selective Rayleigh fading. This receiver consists of three stages. In the first stage, with conjugate gradient (CG) adaptive ...
متن کاملDigital Predistortion Techniques for Rf Power Amplifiers with Cdma Applications
With the increasing importance of spectral efficiency in mobile communications, linearity of the RF PA has become a critical design issue for non-constant-envelope digital modulation schemes.1 This issue is particularly significant in spread spectrum applications such as CDMA and wideband CDMA (W-CDMA) base stations, where the peak-to-average ratio of modulated RF signals can vary over a range ...
متن کاملMeasuring single-tone desensitization for CDMA receivers
T CDMA cellular radio system was designed to operate within the same radio frequency spectrum as the older (preceding) advanced mobile phone system (AMPS ) system in the U.S. cellular band. The RF scheme for AMPS employs many closely spaced and relatively narrowband FM channels. By contrast, the RF scheme for CDMA employs fewer, and relatively wideband RF channels. As a result, CDMA channel pla...
